Co-sponsored with Sociology, the Provost’s Office, Women and Gender Studies (WGSS), History, Latin American and Caribbean Studies (LACS), Humanities Institute, and School of Social Welfare, join us for a film screening.

A Panel Discussion will follow, featuring

–Dr. Steve Larson, profiled in the film; Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; cofounder and the Executive Director of Puentes de Salud.

–Dr. Stalin Fran Vilcarromero Llaja, Stony Brook World Trade Center Wellness Program; one of lead investigators of a study of Lyme disease involving Latino communities on Long Island.

–Tiffany Joseph, Associate Professor of Sociology at Stony Brook and former Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Scholar at Harvard; current book project on how documentation status influences the healthcare access and utilization of Latino immigrants in the Boston metropolitan area.
